NEW HANOVER COUNTY
Three Points of Distribution Sites, better known as PODS, offer Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), water and tarps to residents of New Hanover County (including the beach towns) and the City of Wilmington. The North and Central locations will both close at noon Monday and not reopen. The South location will close at 7 p.m. Monday and noon on Tuesday after which it will be closed thereafter.
The Cajun Navy has set up a 24-hour supply store at Peace Baptist Church on Military Cutoff Road.
Mobile medical unit
UnitedHealth Group has set up a mobile medical unit in Wilmington to provide the following clinical care:
The station will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Dream Center at 901 Fanning Street in Wilmington.
In addition to medical care, 25,000 bottles of water will also be given out.
An additional site is set up in Wallace on 1504 North Norwood Street.
Pine Valley Church will hold a relief supplies giveaway Wednesday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or until supplies run out. The church is located at 3601 South College Road next to the CVS.
Red Cross will serve 150 meals every evening from 5-6 p.m. at Station 14 at 19470 US Highway 17 in Hampstead. On Monday, Sept. 24, Tyson Foods will deliver meals and products to Lighthouse Church, 98 Trade Way, in Rocky Point.

Leland benefit dinner
The Joyce Irish Pub in Leland is hosting a benefit pasta dinner and live music for Brunswick Family Assistance on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. People will pay what they can and all the proceeds will be donated to Hurricane Florence victims. Clothing, cleaning supplies, bedding and other donations will also be accepted. Call 910-297-4067 for more information.
Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church in Calabash is giving away clothing of all sizes to Hurricane Florence victims on Sept. 28-29. The church is located at 1090 Hickman Road.
Hours are 5-8 p.m. Sept. 28 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 29.

Livingston Baptist Church
Hot barbecue plates, ice, baby supplies and more are being given out at Livingston Baptist Church at 4629 Livingston Chapel Road in Delco.
Diapers, baby formula, shovels, rakes and more are available.
